If you’ve not installed Magento yourself, then your web host can tell you this. There are a number of variables that determine the location of your main html directory.
Typically, in my tutorials when we’re installing Magento from scratch on a dedicated server, we install it in /var/www/html. With Shared Hosting, it could be anywhere depending on how the host set up their server and your environment.
