Hey all.

I know I’ve been really slack on Magento Videos as of late, but free-time simply isn’t on my side. Having said that, I just read up and created a post about Magento 2.4.0 (Magento 2.4.0 (Need to know highlights)) - Where I learned that MySQL will no longer be supported as the default Search Engine:

You must install Elasticsearch before installing Magento Commerce or Magento Open Source 2.4.0. Ref: (Official Magento Documentation)

Therefore, as I know many of you would find this information critical, I will make it my highest priority to produce a video to help you install Elasticsearch 7.6.x.

Obviously, this will assume that you’ve installed Magento using one of my original installation tutorials. I simply don’t have the resources to create a video for every unique setup.

So, in the meantime watch this space and know I’ve got your back.

Quick update: I’ve just finished writing both the script and instructions (first draft). I just need to test everything. Once happy I’ll start recording and then post editing. This means I could have the video out by the end of the week. No promises.

Update: Just finished testing my instructions and writing the script. I’ll start recording and post editing soon. It won’t release immediately because I plan to record several other videos so that I can start posting weekly for a while.

Update: Finished both the video and documentation. It’s around 12 minutes long but nice and simple to implement when following along with the documentation that I wrote :wink: Will be the first in a small series of videos that I’ll start releasing in July.
