If you were using some other Platform before Magento then I have 3 questions:

  1. What was the Platform?
  2. Why are you leaving it?
  3. Why did you decide on Magento 2?

  1. Why did you decide on Magento 2 over the other available options?

Sample Answer

1. Shopify
2. The entry price was good, but the costs outweigh the benefits for the premium services
3. The changes I want to make are more cost effective than Shopify and other options

  2. Been using XC for about 10 years, was looking for something a bit more “new”
  3. Looked to have the functionality we were after, and plenty of 3rd party extensions to grow

the website guys used magento1 when we asked for an ecommerce site. Didn’t know Arthur from Martha at the time.

I decided on magento 2 because it was specifically made for e-commerce, has a very robust backend and plenty of ready made extensions (to customise). Developer community is active. Now with adobe taking over magento its only going to go ahead I hope.

I dont know if i got lucky with my choice yet. There are a lot of challenges and each solution brings more knowledge on the table. Thanks to craig for starting this community.
