Can I Invoice items separately?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

How do I invoice items separately if they are being delivered separately?

The reason I ask is that I will be selling online and delivering from two warehouses. Both warehouses operate under the same company but the goods from each warehouse are shipped to the customer separately and have to be invoiced separately as well.

Is this something that Magento 2 can do out of the box or do I need a Muti vendor or drop ship solution?

Could placing the items from warehouse 1 on backorder work?

That’s a great question. In all my years, I’ve never had to do this. I don’t think M2 does this out-the-box, but you might want to do some trial an error to see if you can.

Bare in mind, that M2.3 will be supporting Multi Source Inventory for stock control. So maybe what you need will be bundled with this feature (if it’s not already).

Finally, I always hate turning to 3rd party solutions if you can get away without them, but checkout Multi Warehouse Inventory by Amasty.
