Favicon still shows Magento logo after uploading new file

no error everything was successful while uploading favicon logo but it doesnt appear at the top , instead magento favicon appear…

Moderator Message: When creating a new post, please assign it to a relevant category. I have assigned this to Magento Setup category

With reference to your issue try:

  1. Clearing Magento Cache for changes to take effect
  2. Clearing Browser Cache to display the changes

Also, make sure you’re making your changes to the correct Store View (usually the last one in the list). This only applies to stores that aren’t in Single Store mode.

Try this:

  1. Verify that your Favicon icon setting did actually save
  2. Clear Static Content (the button is at the bottom of the Cache Management page)
  3. Clearing Magento Cache for changes to take effect
  4. Clearing Browser Cache to display the changes

If that doesn’t work then just convert your image to an .ico file and upload it here (Ref):

/app/design/frontend/<Vendor>/<Theme>/Magento_Theme/web/favicon.ico
