How to install theme? Where's magento directory?

Hi Craig!

I’ve been following your ‘How to Install Magento 2.3 from Scracth’ tutorial, the one where you install Magento on DigitalOcean and need some help installing a theme.

My question is where do I find Magento’s folder? As I understand I need to FTP into my server and upload the ‘app’ and ‘pub’ folders that came with my theme, but I don’t know where to upload them.

I hope you can help me with this.

Hi @jvaqueiro and welcome

If you’ve been following along with the tutorials, then the Magento root directory is in:

/var/www/html/

So, that will always be your starting point when it comes to uploading files - And also where you will find both the app/ and pub/ directories.

As for the theme installation, the specifics totally depends on the theme as each is different. I would strongly recommend referring to their own documentation.
