How to renew my SSL Certificate

Hi,

I assume this will be easy to fix yet I simply couldn’t find any solution.

So my SSL certificate had ended and I bought renewal which I don’t know how to properly install. I can’t remember what I did the first time which doesn’t help. So, as of now I cannot access my website as I get noted about it not being safe :stuck_out_tongue:

All I know right now is that I do have new and active .crt and .key files.
Also I have located the old ones on my server in /etc/ssl/certs and /etc/ssl/private.
Switching them up does not work.

I think I need to change some code but as I said earlier I can’t really remember what I did the first time.

Updating your SSL Certificate doesn’t require you to do anything with Magento, as this is a Web Server task. Your certificate provider will have a specific set of instructions to follow depending on what type of Web Server you’re running (e.g. Apache or Nginx).

If you purchased your certificate via Digitcert and you run Apache, then you’ll probably need to follow these instructions: Installation Instructions for Apache by Digicert
