Limit Product Names

Hi all,

I’m in the process of learning / playing around with Magento.

I’m trying to do the following, limit the characters in product title as the image shows. I want result number 2.

You’ll need to go through the following steps:

  1. Create a child theme
  2. Create an override file for the template that you wish to make changes to. Without knowing what types of pages you want to make these changes to, I can’t tell you what files to look out for
  3. Within the file, you’ll need to make your changes. You could either create a php variable that modifies the maximum number of characters that are generated… Or you might be able to achieve this with some CSS.

Unfortunately, with the information that you’ve provided I can’t provide any better answers than that.
