Hi, what will be the gain to install Magento 2.3 on Ubuntu 18.04 vs Ubuntu 16.04. You have very good tutorial for installation on Ubuntu 16.04 but you where cautious on 18.04 in the video why?

Hi @Thierry and welcome.
The only difference that I can think of right now are the repos that come built in with 16.04 and 18.04. A specific example I’m thinking of is the version of MySQL that is installed in 18.04 has more security features, so it’s a bit more of a pain to setup. But we’ve talked about how to get around those in a couple of posts this year if you do get stuck.
However, that’s kind of irrelevant now because I think the latest 16.04 updates are now starting to include that version of MySQL anyway.
Long story short, next time I do a big installation video I’ll just do it on 18.04 anyway. So, you may as well just go with that.
